The might in this catherdral is the best in paris. The sound of the organ, too, is superb. Go just before sunset, catch the light coming through the windows, and realize what causes faith.

This one is small enough to be manageable, but it’s out of the way, and there are better cemeteries in Paris to visit. Skip it.

I have lived in Paris for a total of about 18 months.

It taught me how to live properly. There is rarely a week that goes by when I don’t try to emulate or improve some aspect of life I learned about in Paris.

I’ve been here several times. While the art is nice (I’m not a huge enthusiast for the Impressionists), and the building superb (pierre, fer, et verre—stone, iron and glass), mostly I noticed how many people were unhappy, getting in arguments, fights, etc.

I don’t know what it is about the building, but somehow it makes people unhappy with each other. I’d never go there just to hang out.

I really enjoyed being here in 1989, but in the summer, this is a humid, humid, humid, HUMID place to be. Bats swoop about at night, and the sound of bugs can be soothing or can drive you crazy, depending on the night.

I’ve been to Banff National Park in the winter, summer, spring fall, as a skier, snowshoer, hiker, tourist, biker, even on business trips. It’s a wonderful place.

Be sure to bring warm clothes. And a camera. And be ready to eat fudge.

So amazingly tasty. I go whenever I can.
