Chicago, Cook County

Untitled

Chicago changed my life because, if I hadn’t moved there, I’d probably still be stuck in Terre Haute, IN where some of my relatives still live and have never gone anywhere else!

It’s the third largest city in the US and the only one of the big three I’d be willing to live in.

The history, architecture, cuisine, culture and tourist opportunities are all fantastic! I’m not fond of the weather, however. I used to call it “the worst of all worlds.” The weather is cold and damp (and windy) in the winter—the kind of cold that seeps into your bones. In the summer, it’s hot and very humid!

The summer is an excellent time to visit, however. The breezes off of Lake Michigan make it more comfortable. There are also many concerts and outdoor events in the summer. An architectural boat tour or a ride out onto the lake is very nice! There is also lots of oudoor dining in Chicago, which I love.

Costa Rica, Central America And The Caribbean

Untitled

Costa Rica is a country the size of West Virginia, yet it is diverse in its habitat and ecosystems. There are many endangered species of animals that you should go see while you have the chance. If you like to watch birds, it is a birder’s paradise. It’s also close, easy to get to and affordable.

I want to go back and would even consider living there.
