I hiked through the backcountry in 2000, from Clingman’s Dome to Cades Cove. It was a scenic 5 day 45 mile hike. Waterfalls, Chimneytops, Deer, Wild turkeys, and remnants of the old houses that once stood up in the mountains. Early May was a bit cold, but it was spectacular.
