I was born and raised here. I was born in Brooklyn hospital and grew up in downtown Brooklyn. Growing up here was amazing. I remember when i first discovered what the promenade was. I was so amazed because i was young and didnt expect to see buildings up that close. My mom and i and sometimes my family would walk there. Also, the pier down by the bk bridge is amazing, where the water taxi comes. It’s where the watchtower is. I used to take photography there. Also, if you go to this street called Furman st., I’m sure youll find it interesting. Its a long high way type strip under the promenade that you can walk on. Its really abandoned; kind of scary, but its a good place to just go and think. Its weird because theres like garbage and stuff there, but thats what makes it interesting. I dont know why. When i first found out about Furman street, i was with my friend. After that, Id walk there every few days to take photos or just to be there. I still do go over there, actually. Also, Dumbo is a great neighborhood. If you take the F train to York street, you can go to Empire-Fulton Ferry Park and Brooklyn Bridge park. Brooklyn bridge park, which is right next to Empire, has a small little beach there and its cool to go with kids. It also has hills with green grass. Very naturistic. The bridges: Manhattan and Brooklyn are VERY close so its great for taking pictures. I love all of NYC, but overall, Brooklyn has given me the best memories. Im 18 now, still live here, of course. I always tell my mom that NYC/Brooklyn is the only thing keeping me in the U.S. :D
Yes, I took that picture.
