For all those who argue that evolution is a theory this is a must go destination. Each island holds its own splendor as it is evolving from a barran lava mass to a lush island. Having a sea lion pup come up and play with the webbing on my fanny pack was a truly amazing experience and opened my eyes to the true relationship that people can have with the animal world when we look to protect them.

My friend and I were awakened in the middle of the night by the caretaker at Las Ranitas. He just kept saying “La Tortuga, La Tortuga”. We followed him down to the beach and low and behold we watch a sea turtle laying her eggs. She laid hundreds of them. We all got to help her cover them with sand. She was exhausted and didn’t seem to mind the help. It was an amazing experience to witness.
