My family and I really didn’t want to go the whole “Anne” thing but, if we didn’t, people would have thought us nuts so we went. It wasn’t all that thrilling though. My grandparents have a lot of the same things that were there so it wasn’t very interesting.

My family and I dropped off here to see the tide go in (or was it out? I can’t remember) on our way back home to Ontario. Well, we JUST missed it by 10 minutes. However, it was still pretty cool.

If you want to be a tourist and shop around at a lot of high-end expensive little shops, this is the place for you.

but only if you have young children. My brother and I were in our mid-teens and found it very boring, small, and too little kid oriented.

My family and I went on Mother’s Day when admission was free. Of course, there was a very long line (and wait!) to get in. However, the actual conservatory was very cool. One man had dozens upon dozens of butterflies sitting on him.

It is MUCH better than the Toronto Zoo. The Toronto Zoo has NOTHING compared to the Calgary Zoo.

My family and I were camping and it was really crappy weather. The previous 8 towns/cities we had been in rained and it rained here too. There were very high winds as well. In short, we decided to buy a tent trailer because we were getting soaked in our tent 9 nights in a row. When we left Red Deer, a tornado ripped through the campsite we were at merely a few days later.

Half in Saskatchewan, half in Alberta…need I say more?

The Birds of Prey Center is awesome. I got to hold a burrowing owl (my favourite animal back then), and feed Snoopy the vulture a dead chick.
