The main gate, built in 1628 and about 14-16 meter high?, is aged and magnificent. The Hojo garden (the abbot’s quarters) is quiet, well-designed, and with a dark garden, old paintings, and an enlightening water fall. Rinzai school of Japanese Zen Buddhism.
