Uno

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

Our favorite Uno, a relaxed, unrushed, comfortable atmosphere where you’d like to sit and chat for hours. Wonderful food and staff.

The Old Spaghetti Factory

Worth visiting!

A review of this place

The Old Spaghetti Factory, regarless of location, is a fun, relaxing place with wonderful food. I’ve eaten in the one in St. Louis, MO, Toronto, and Denver.

Epcot

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

I took the kids to Walt Disney World, FL in 2002, they 9 & 11. Epcot was the high point of our visit, along with Disney Adventureland and Typhoon Lagoon. Unfortunately the day was too hot and my son was coming down with something (nurse’s stations in each park give wonderful care) but we wandered and loved each village. I am simply dying to get back alone to take proper time to wander and discover. The evening extravaganza was absolutely not to be missed, TO DIE FOR! It left this huge indelible impression on the 3 of us and we all left teary eyed. We won’t ever have the money to return. I’m so happy that they had the opportunity to visit at ages which so appreciate the fun. And God bless Walt Disney and his vision of joy and love for all ages. We did indeed find Disney World and the Music Resort Hotel a dream come true for us. I hope you all get to go and enjoy it tool.

Casa Bonita

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

1983ish. I was here. It’s been around for an awfully long time. Must be for a reason, in spite of the complaints. I enjoyed it. I don’t recall minding the food much either, though I recall it was not great. Fun. I’d do it again.

Denver

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I lived in nearby Aurora from 1980-85. I found Denver to be a special place. My favorite place was Park Lane Condos in one of the park/residential areas. It was lovely. I took care of the sweetest woman who had broken her arm. She went to bed early, about 7pm, and after she was in bed I got to sit on her west-facing 8th floor balcony, above the trees, and watch the sun set over the mountains. Absolultely amazing. I’d do it again for free if I could. It causes a special stir in your heart to see something so awesome.

Aurora

Worth visiting!

Untitled

I lived here, 1980-85. It is a strange place. There were always negative comments about those where were not native born. It was a tough place to be, especially as a young adult. I loved living near the mountains. It was a lovely place to be. I know it has changed considerably and it hardly seems 21 years since I lived there- and I barely remember it anymore. I wish I knew what happened to a very kind, handsome soccer player whose name I’ve forgotten who lived in my apartment complex. He remains the nicest person I’ve ever met in my lifetime. He’s in my prayers often.

Chautauqua

Worth visiting!

Chautauqua Institution

It has been my immense pleasure and honor to sing with several choruses at Chautuaqua Institution with the Chautauqua Symphony and Uriel Segel. Chautauqua is a very special place. Last summer, relaxing on the lawn by the lake below the Atheneum Hotel post afternoon rehearsal, I sat and simply relaxed and took it all in. My senses and my mind were attuned outward, unfettered, not over-stimulated in the way this modern bustling life causes us to do. Folks walked, children rode their bicycles down the lane by the lake, people sat on the porch of the Atheneum and chatted. Cottage gardens welcomed visitors to their gingerbread cottages. A quiet flow of life processed. My favorite performance was Carmina Burana for the Chautauqua Symphony’s 75th anniversary.

Australia

Why I want to go to this place

I would like to sing (in a chorus) at the Sydney Opera House. I romanticize Australia. It appears idyllic to me.
