Syze

Well of course I recommend it. I live here and was born here. It’s a city of history and culture, surrounded by great countryside that is filled with fantastic pubs.

I camped here for a few nights before heading on to Yosemite. It was great. A perfect setting with tons of camping grounds. I’d like to come back when the snow falls and get some snowboaring in.

Some great surf to be had on the west Atlantic coast!

If you want to go to the USA this isn’t the best state to go to. Personally, I prefer to experience cultures and more dramatic geographic places.

I’m sure it is worth visiting but my impression of Morocco was ruined by some locals trying to talk our guide into robbing us. I was quite young at the time and can’t remember it much!

Walking in the Dolomites is a must

I’ve been here a few times. I’d recommend it to surfers as the reef breaks are excellent. La Santa is sports/training camp, often used by triathletes, as it runs a number of training camps throughout the year. The island also hosts Ironman Canarias for the truly dedicated!

If it’s just a holiday, I wouldn’t go for any longer than a week. Tenerife is the more interesting of the Canary islands, you can climb the volcano there also.

One of the most spectacular geographic locations you can ever go. If you can afford to, take the helicopter trip for a bird’s eye view. I would like to go back and trek though the bottom on horseback.

Desolate, but breathtaking. I always rememeber the help leaflet that they give us on the way in. On the cover there’s a cartoon style picture of the sensible family in their air conditioned car, plenty of food and water and spare fuel; next to it, there’s an open top car full of skeletons with none of the said provisions!

Stopped in Caracas for New Year and made the trip to Angel falls by canoe up through the Amazon. Amazing!
