YAY NCL!

I worked on a cruise ship that stopped here often. Honestly, I found it kind of boring. There’s a decent beach behind the casino if you take the taxi ride into town. I usually used this day in port to catch up on sleep or tan on the deck.

I also visited here while on a cruise – working on a cruise ship actually! We wanted to visit a waterfall and were told there were two options: the bigger one on horseback and a smaller one by taxi then foot. We didn’t have time for the big one so we did a short couple hour trip with some locals to the small falls. Some local children led us by the hands down to the falls, where we played with them in the water. It was a nice little afternoon. Yes, lots of poverty. Of course we have to pay for the excursion ($15 I think?) and tip the children who lead us around.

Awesome time climbing through the caves and hanging out at a pool filled by water pumped in from a natural hot spring! Good day trip :)

Advanced Open Water Certification achieved! My 7 days trip turned into 11… met some AWESOME people and just couldn’t leave!

Great school… great city… great fun… great 4 years :)

Working and living in Honduras… loving every minute
