Marion is a charming little town on the shores of Buzzards Bay. Geraldo Rivera calls Marion his summer home, Howard Johnson had a home here along with other famous people.Marion has that small town atomosphere, it hasnt change at all over the years..Marion is the starting point of the Marion to Bermuda sailboat race and is the home of the prestigious Tabor Academy..This is the perfect place to visit to get away from it all.If you want to take a boat trip here you can easily slip your boat into the local Barden’s Boat Yard Wharf and enjoy a 3 minute walk to the quaint downtown. Downtown Marion has a General Store, Post Office, A Great place to eat and a few other stores..The mansions on the waterfront are a site to see…Usually in the Summer the famous schooner “The Tabor Boy” is moored in inner harbor, its an awesome old tyme boat..Cape Cod is only a 15 minute ride by car from Marion, an hour South Of Boston

I lived here for a short time and found it to be a very depressed as far as industry and jobs..There are some paper companies in the city that give off a terrible odor.Also there is alot of gang activity down in “the flats”..I was so glad that I moved away from there, it was kinda scary to live there..

I live here and its a beautiful city to be in..Lots of wonderful places to eat, culture and of course the gorgeous water front and beaches..New Bedford is worth visiting!!
