I came to Chincoteague for the first time with Bob, in November, when the waves were quiet and creeping up the beach, and while we collected sea shells, Bob got lazy, and got his ass wet trying to get away from the waves. His truck seat smelled like the ocean for a week.

This is a beautiful, humbling place that just might remind you that we live on a planet.

This will always be the capital of the WORLD, and being there is being at the center of everything. Poughkeepsie is the last stop on the Hudson Line out of Grand Central. My friends and I would hop on at Houghsonville and ride down for concerts, for a day in the Park, for the Museums, for a ride to the top of the Empire State Building or the WTC, to the Cathedral, to the Library, to the Bronx for cannolies, (is that how you spell that? That’s a shame. I took Italian for 3 years), to see family and meet friends at Rockefeller Center, to hang out in Times Square or take the ferry to Ellis Island or see the Intrepid and I could go on but there is so much here and so many people and I challenge anyone and everyone to even attempt to do everything there is to do in NY. No matter what, someone can always tell you about a place to go, a person to meet, something to eat or something to do you didn’t know about.

Now THIS is a party town. I get to work here. Yeah, I’m cool.

I got to see the NY Yankees mop the floor with Baltimore in their own stadium!!! AH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Another Edge of the World

My husband and I had our first vacation/ getaway/ roadtrip together in Annapolis. We went to the harbor but didn’t take the boat ride; he couldn’t go that long without a ciggarette. Besides that silliness it was romantic and fun and we ate well.
