Plottings are afoot for a yachting expedition here…

We have just booked tickets to go here in January – mountains!! snow!!

We’ve just purchased incredibly cheap flights here in January (the sale was ending at midnight), if it turns out we can’t afford to go we’ll just abandon the tickets – is worth a go, and also makes it more likely to happen as it’s a bit more tangible.

We are after snow and mountains!

My other half and I really, really want a snowy holiday in January after I finish my exams, and it’s perhaps possible that his family might be able to take us on a trip here.

It looks like Chris and I might get a ferry (with a cabin) there and back now, as we’ve seen a deal on Lastminute where for £300 you get ferry rides each way, a train ride across Denmark (so we’d get to see it from the train), 3 nights in a 4 star hotel. We’re rather pleased at the oldfashionedness of this plan.
(Though I still want to get a hovercraft to Malmo, just cos).

I’ve found out the dates for WGT next year, and they may or may not fall during exams. I guess I won’t know until they announce the timetable, which will really mess things up for booking hotels and that :(

Chris and I are thinking of having a winter holiday here after my exams. I very much doubt I will have any holiday leave left to take, but I have resolved to sort it out somehow! The plan is to fly in to Malmo (in Sweden), and take a hovercraft (!!!) across to Copenhagen.

A perfect excuse to buy a new winter coat I think…

Bit of a strange place to want to go, I know, but lots of my friends have gone to InFest there and I am quite envious. I am going to try to go next year.

Some friends are planning to go there at the beginning of September, and I’d love to go too.
I’m not sure how financially feasible this is, but it’s the thing that’s inspiring me to work overtime right now…

I’ve been getting most jealous reading acquaintances reports from WGT, and plan to go next year. Recently I’ve been learning German, so maybe I’ll even be able to make myself understood – though the guide I’m using is sadly deficient in vocabulary relating to shoes and getting trashed ;)
