We took a trip to St. Louis when I was a kid- Dad made a contest out of who could spot the Arch first. The main objective was Six Flags- this was LONG before they popped up in every town.

Our visit to the Arch was strange- being strapped into a small capsule and being shot up into the arch was cool- I remember it being hot & stuffy, but the view was VERY cool!

I spent a week north of Anchorage with a friend and her family, so I did as the locals do- hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, chasing bears and moose. What a blast! There was a moose wandering her backyad one morning when I woke!

We also took an overnight trip to Seward. Seward is on the bay- so we took the day-long boat ride. I was hesitant at first being short on funds, but it was SO worth it! We saw whales, eagles (all over Alaska! Thanks conservationists!:))and glaciers. We even stopped and walked along a glacier on the way home.

Now they live on Prince William Island- Thorne Bay- and I look forward to visiting there. Its a different lifestyle then what I have here in Georgia- one that I’d welcome if life offered me that option.

Its not “high drama’ here- unless there’s a launch. The exhibits are great- you’ll learn a lot and touring the grounds is impressive, but go early, and then spend the late afternoon on your boogie-board at the beach.

But I’d be lost in a tasting room forever…

See the structure, learn the history- how it was built, the structral concerns. Feel the gently slight sway and the breeze.Pause in the middle and contemplate the depths and swift currents of the water. I do recommend that some headphones and tunes might add to the experience as the sound of traffic is constant.

I used to get my copy of “Dishwasher” here whenever there was a new one.

Grew up here- any opportunity to visit this warm and friendly, interesting, multi-faceted place is not to be missed! Walk the lakeshore, visit some blues clubs, eat a REAL pizza, meet the people. You’ll want to stay.

Takes the mystery out of a terrible day in our country. see the exposition- the news clips take you through the event moment by momemnt. You will leace affected.

Stop by and say hi! Folks are friendly here, real eastate is reasonably priced and we on close to Atlanta. What I enjoy doing most here is driving a few miles down the road to Stone Mountain Park and walking with my dogs. Its a slice of heaven on a weeknight when peace is in short supply.
