Sure, it could use some fixing-up but walking down Beale Street you can feel the energy. Open yourself up to the street performers and you’ll get just as much from them, as you would going into one of the bars. I didn’t have the bar option since I had a little one with me. Great people, great music, wish I had more time and look forward to going back. Don’t forget to check out the ducks at the Peabody Hotel.
over 7 years agoMy best friend is a big Elvis Fan so we went on a road trip to Memphis during Christmas break. I thought this would be the ideal time to see Graceland, in all it’s holiday splendor and I was right. From shag carpet on the ceiling, to the White Christmas tree, this place is about as kitsch they come. I recommend you buy some Elvis Sunglasses from the gift shop. It took longer than I expected to see everything (I was pushing my son in the stroller far too long for his liking). We also got the tourist photo in front of the Graceland sign. Word of Caution: it isn’t located in the best part of town.
over 7 years agoI enjoyed the outside grounds as much as the inside of the house. The indoor pool is really cool too.
