Roosters, Ogden

"good for Utah"

Utah isn’t known for fine food, but Roosters is a great place to eat. The food is pretty good, and the specialty beers are great.

You should try this place if ever in Ogden.

Hyrum, Utah

"been there"

My parents lived there from December 1990 until they passed away. It is a nice town, and I have a lot of good Xmas memories.

In addition, there is a July 4th parade every year, and most of Cache Valley shows up for it.

Back in the 1970s (when I was a kid) I loved going to Hyrum to visit my cousins. There was an old drug store on main street that sold cheap candy. Even at the time, the store was hopelessly dated.

Fort Dix, Burlington County

"tanks"

The tank museum is pretty amazing. There aren’t a lot of them, but the displays are nice, and the plaques do a great job of describing how these weapons were used.

My nephew visited when I got back from Afghanistan, and he knew all about the tanks and what wars they were used in.

Most military bases have little museums like this, and they are always worth an afternoon visit.
