For years my family had access to a cabin at the YMCA and we spent a week each summer in Estes Park. I can’t begin to explain how much I love this little town.

Estes Park is surrounded by Rocky Mountain National Park and Roosevelt National Forest so if you love the outdoors this is the place for you. If shopping is more your style they have loads of that too in town.

We always went on or around my Mom’s birthday and ended our trip with a visit to the Baldpate Inn. Great food in a wonderful old lodge.

I actually live in Lees Summit, a suburb southeast of KC. I once heard someone say “Kansas City is a nice place to be from.” Can I argue with that? Ummm….no. Come for a visit, eat some Bar-B-Q, see the Plaza Lights,catch a football game, go to the zoo. But if your looking to move here, head for the burbs.
