San Francisco was a lot of fun and the surrounding area was beautiful. We had some really great food, toured Muir woods, spent time in Golden Gate Park (Japanese Tea Garden, Rose Garden, and Botanical Garden were all wonderful), rode the cable cars, spent a full day on Fisherman’s Wharf (and the aquarium), went to Alcatraz, and spent a day in Sonoma. We also had a really excellent dinner at Scala’s Bistro. I highly recommend it. Anyway, it was eerie when we went out to Alcatraz b/c a mean fog had blown in to the bay and when we got halfway between the mainland and Alcatraz all you could see was fog!!! It was trippy. Definitely a great place to visit. I loved all the chocolate shops and sourdough bread!

It has been a while since I was in Athens, but I found it to be a friendly, charming city. I love that you can’t walk 10 feet without tripping over an archaeological dig. All of the food was great. We found an open market area somewhere in the city and that was awesome.

My trip to Paris was cozy and romantic. We were never bored with all the sites to see…Musee d’Orsay, Louvre, Versailles, Pere Lachaise, and on and on…and we didn’t have one bad meal the whole time we were there. All of the people were nice too. The hating Americans thing was not apparent.
