Not used to mountains so I found this to be beautiful. Mesilla is cool. The transmountain road between el paso and las cruces is a nice drive.

Moon Mountain Vinyards.

North to south. I am a fan of Nor Cal more so.

Lots of stuff to do. The Galleria area is great. Awesome restaurants. The museum district is huge! Rice University has a pretty campus and there are some nice parks.

Nature. Party scene (6th street is famous but the locals hit 4th and 5th now). College town. Bohemian. Good food. Great parks.

Worth visiting though. Especially for Texas. Definitely pay to park on the beach. Buy the pass. Better than parking at the free part. I do like driving on the beach though it is not good ofr the shorelline. You can do it in Daytona too, but at least here you only have to pay to park, you can drive on it for free. Lots of cute local shops and eateries.

Surf Museum is a must. The local restaurant everyone likes is WaterStreet and is right next to the museum. They have a replica of the Nina from Spain there. That is cool. And their minor league team stadium is nice, the Hooks. Drove to the Island, that was great too. Not a huge city, definitely beach town.

Really neat. Go to the historic district too which is not downtown. I really like it here. Romantic. Fun.
