White Cliffs, New South Wales

I was surprised that White Cliffs had not been listed yet, and that so far I’m the only one. I think it would be so great getting to go there.
There is accomodation in dugouts below the ground there, opal mining, and the place has an amazing history. It’s such a pity that there are no pics added so far for White Cliffs. Any photos I’ve added on 43Places have been ones I’ve taken myself… and I’d be uncomfortable grabbing any from elsewhere and loading them. But I might email a business out there and see if I can get permission to use one of theirs if I reference it accordingly.
If you’re into Google Earth, look up White Cliffs, NSW, Australia. All you’ll see is a few buildings, as a fair bit is below the ground (although – it is a small place too). Then scroll just a tiny bit north… and all the holes in the ground make it look like an ant colony.

I was pretty happy staying there. The room service food was really good, and it is in a very convenient location. I may end up staying there again.
