over 5 years agoCaldwell Zoo isn’t an extremely large zoo but it does house a variety of animals in very pleasing surroundings. If you do visit I’d recommend going during the spring especially if you enjoy photography. Not only are all the flowers in the zoo in bloom at that time but the trip there along the Texas Highways is very scenic with all the wildflowers in season.
over 5 years agoBeing a native Texan and growing up learning so much about the Alamo in history class, I found it quite a letdown to visit. I expected so much more. It’s much smaller than I had imagined and is surrounded by buildings. Whatever magnificence it might have had back in the day, it’s long since gone sadly.
