Tanzania, Africa

This summer I am going to live with a local family that will help me to learn Swahili for a few weeks. I am also going to be interning on set of a feature film shooting in the area.

  • EDIT one year later… **

So I went, got malaria, and was hospitalized for over a month. I need to go back and reclaim the area.

I’m thinking about going by myself and checking out lollapalooza. Hopefully my nerves and worries won’t inhibit me…

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

An American Must-See

Of all of the National parks that I have seen, Yellowstone is one that I will not soon forget.

My family went when I was young, and it was the perfect trip for adults and children alike. The geysers, hot springs, and bubbling pools are fascinating and fun. Yet my favorite element of Yellowstone is the accessibility of the wildlife.

At one point, my mother’s window in the car was rolled down as a group of bison slowly walked across the street. One strolled over to the window, sticking it’s head inside of the car, and let out a groan that I still think about and can’t help but laugh.

Undoubtedly worth travelling for— it is beautiful, interesting, and good times for everyone.
