Someday I’ll get out of Northern Virginia and go back home. I need mountains, and friendly people, and good food, and air that doesn’t reek. And no damn snow. Yeah, pretty much everything is worse up here.
over 6 years agoMy great-grandparents had a cabin in Linville. Every May, we’d spend a couple of weeks up there. The Blue Ridge is my favorite place in the world, especially right after it rains, when the valleys fill up with fog so thick that it looks like cream, and the mountains fade from green to blue to purple until they blend with the sky.
over 6 years agoI haven’t been to the Torpedo Factory, but I’m going this spring. There’s a regular, trendy yarn store, and a great place a few blocks away with looms and spinning wheels and everything.
