Hong Kong Disneyland Park, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort

Small and compact

While this Disneyland is much smaller than the rest (you can walk from TomorrowLand to AdventureLand in less than 5 minutes), I think it is just the right size for a day’s visit. Best suited to families with kids though the rides are not that exciting for teenagers who are looking for thrills.

Definitely remembr to stay for the fireworks at night (7pm or 8pm) and go for the lion king show – both highlights of my trip.

Niseko, Hokkaido

Best ski destination in Hokkaido

The snow is phenomenally powdery, and Niseko is only ski area within Hokkaido that actually has a small village of shops and restaurants for you to enjoy after skiing/ snowboarding for the whole day. Been back twice and hoping to go again Feb 2006!

Base Camp One, Mount Everest

Absolutely awesome

Took us thirteen days to complete the Mt Everest Base Camp trek – excruciatingly painful but the scenary, the people, and the experience was totally exhilarating. Definitely a worthwhile trip.

Make sure you train for it though, and do it slowly to avoid high altitude sickness…
