And never forget your towel!

Spent most holidays of my youth there. I think I’ve seen the complete coast of France and big parts of the inland like the Auvergne and the Provence and cities like Paris, Lyon, Avignon, Nice, ...
But there is still much I haven’t seen of this wonderfull country and nearly every place I was is worth going back.
And also I can’t confirm the saying “France would be nice if it wasn’t full of French people” – the French are ok :)

I want to go here because as a child I played the jump’n’run game New Zealand Story and I always dreamt of seeing this land. :)

I lived here for several years. It is a dump :)
Happy I live in Köln again.

Many bands have recorded live albums from concerts in this hall so I want to see it some day :)

The second time I travelled here was a somehow curious experience. I was travelling through Brittany by motor caravan with my father and we should have arrived there in the evening. But as we came near to it there was a traffic jam and we couldn’t go any further. We asked a British man what this all was about and he told us Jean Michel Jarre was giving a concert / light show in the city. So we got away from the street and parked on a field.
It was funny: all the people who had tickets for the concert couldn’t reach it because of the traffic jam and also had to stop there and far behind us and we could see a little bit of the light show and hear the music without having paid.
So we just waited for the next day and could then visit this wonderfull city with ease.

At this edge the river Mosel flows into the Rhine. The monument of Wilhelm the First on it was destroyed in WWII and replaced by a German flag. In 1993 it was restored.

This fortress built by the prussians is located above Koblenz on the Rhine and provides a wonderfull view on the city.

Carnac is famous as the site of more than 3,000 prehistoric standing stones. It has several groups of menhirs perfectly aligned and some hill tombs.
The origin of this stone alignements is a great mistery.

Very worth visiting! Impressive place.
