If you go here, spend the money to take a plane rather than a boat trip. You’ll have much more time on the island!! You can camp here too, I want to do that next I visit. So much history here.

I grew up in Lansing, about 10 minutes away from campus. Great place. My wife got her BS in Forestry and her Masters in Parks and Recreation Management / Tourism.

I love this island. I cannot wait to go back.

Visit the beaches. Many people think that the ‘Great Lakes’ are small lakes that you can see across… Nope. Even when you sail to the center of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior you cannot see land in any direction.

I have lived in St. Johns for almost 3 months now. Love it here, a bit bigger than ‘small town’ but just as comfortable.
