Today I feel like an official military wife. I went up north to clean the apartment that we used to live in, and now that I am back on Post, I feel like I’m home. There is so much to offer the military spouses that are left behind here… I am so happy that I made the sacrifices that were asked of me, in order for us to live on Post.

AefA is enrolled for school which starts next Tuesday. We have before and after school care all set and then I get an email saying that the fees are waved, the price is dropped by 20% for deployed soldiers as of Sept 1st. Therefore, we will be able to take advantage of that. Also, the FRG is giving out a card to entitle spouses 16 hours a month of free day care. Wow… if I had had something like this when I was a 24/7 caregiver for my mother, I would have been much healthier.

There is a huge difference in heat and humidity between here and Ohio, and I like the heat down here better then there.

Wow… I really like being down here. The more I get around, the more I learn about the various programs that are offered, the more I really like being here.

I want to get back to Columbus as soon as possible. The small town, small culture is wearing on me and I miss the city where there was always something to do and always someplace to go.

This rest is really making me tired.

I was born in a subburb of Cleveland, Parma, and spent most of my life around here.

There are many things that I have forgotten, and many things that I still remember.
