Yeah I really loved the ancient sights of Izmir.

It by far had the best view!

And saw my pastor preach here

I can’t even begin to fathom how massive this place was back in its day. It’s pretty big today and there’s still a lot of work to be done!

But I did get some spices and Turkish Delight. By the way I did not pick this pose

So I only picked the jewelry exhibit. Seeing three major sites a day was pretty exhausting for me. I did enjoy seeing the jewelry and I loved the view out by the cafeteria out back for journaling!

I went shopping there on my last day. One of the merchants there introduced himself and walked me around the entire bazaar and helped me with my souvenir shopping then bought me a beautiful scarf. He also asked me out to dinner but I declined since I wanted to spend my last night in Istanbul with friends. So instead he kissed my hand and said goodbye.

It was built to impress and that’s exactly what it did. Loved it!

Our tour put a LOT in the three days we were there but it was awesome all the same!

But now St. Louis is much closer to the top of my list! One of my life goals is to see each MLB team play in its homefield and I thought the city was beautiful so I’m coming back soon to see a Cardinals game AND ride the Arch since I didn’t get to :(
