Olive Branch City Park

Worth visiting!

Oh, the ducks and geese!

The city park in Olive Branch is a quiet and restful place. People mind their own business, ride bikes, walk with their families, or feed some of the hundreds of ducks and Canadian geese that congregate here. My husband and I went there today in an attempt to get some exercise and ended up awed by how tame and gentle the birds are. We were able to get very close. All in all, it was a wonderful evening.

Also, the trees are in bloom here. I don’t think there’s anything more beautiful.

Natural Tunnel State Park...

This picture doesn’t do it justice, not by a long shot. My dad said it was like God picked up the earth like a bowling ball and this is where His thumb went. (He always has a way with words) You take a ski lift down and into the tunnel, it’s absolutely enormous and awe-inspiring.

Middlesboro

Worth visiting!

Good times...

If you ever have a change to visit Middlesboro, in Southeastern Kentucky, be sure to visit La Esperanza right on the main drag. Best Mexican food I’ve ever had, strange as it might seem.

The picture is a view from the Pinnacle, an overlook where you can see Tennessee, Virginia, and Kentucky all at once. You can also stand in Tennessee and Kentucky at the same time.

Savannah

Worth visiting!

Want to live here someday...

I went to Savannah on a Senior Trip and enjoyed it so much that my husband and I spent our honeymoon there as well! This is a great place to visit. I highly recommend the haunted carriage ride, and it’s inevitable that you’ll end up on River Street at some point. There is so much history here and something is always happening.

Kitchitikipi (Big Spring)

Ok, so the name looks crazy, but this place is one of the coolest things to see in Michigan! It’s Michigan’s biggest freshwater spring and you can take a glass-bottomed boat across it. The trout are ginormous, about two feet long or more (but protected, so forget about fishing). I wish I could find a picture of it, since my discription isn’t doing it justice. You’ll just have to take my word for it!

Pineville

Worth visiting!

...great place to visit...

I lived in Pineville for 3 years…it’s a tiny town, but the scenery is breathtaking, especially when the leaves turn in the fall. Also, the people are incredibly nice and helpful. I would definately recommend this place for anyone travelling through Kentucky.

Love it, Miss it, Can't Wait to go back!

I lived in Michigan for the first 20 years of my life and I’m anxiously awaiting the day when I’m able to move back! This is a great place to live and to visit. If you’re looking for a good vacation spot, check out St. Ignace waaaaay up north. The view of the Mackinac Bridge at night is spectacular. Also, if you’re a camper, you won’t find a better place than Straits State Park, right on the water.
