Guam, US Protectorates

Untitled

It was such a tiny place but utterly beautiful! The people were friendly and outgoing, which is always nice. The humidity was intense. As soon as we arrived in Guam (I went with my father) my dad’s eye glasses fogged up immediately. It was so much that he couldn’t see. I thought it was funny, so I went to take a photo, but the camera fogged as well. It turned out to be a memorable photo.

Paris, Ile de France

Untitled

Be warned . . . what people say about the French is true. I would have enjoyed the city and country so much more had people been willing to communicate in any way. At restaurants, in taxi cabs, at the hotels, everywhere . . . once I started to try to speak with someone, they would pretend they did not speak a word of English until it came time for payment, then they would suddenly become fluent. When I tried to ask basic questions or make requests in French, I was ignored. The only one person who was polite to us was not French; he was a taxicab driver from Australia I believe. But worth visiting nonetheless for the historical architecture and the experience of being in a new place.

Düsseldorf, Nordrhein-Westfalen

Untitled

I thought the city was beautiful and I had a great time. Not to mention that it was my first international trip . . .
