PIES!!..... delicious hot pies!!
Food oh food… What can I say, I’m a girl who is easily satisfied with good food anywhere. If Timbuktu has good food, I’d go there and be impressed.

I love the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It is soOOoooo beautiful and houses quite a number of shops. I reckon it also houses the only ‘Harrods’ in Malaysia. If you get a layover here, you would be so entertained, from the free internet access to the comfy chairs and superb shops.

I was up in Cameron Highlands again over the weekend. The weather wasn’t as cooling as it used to be anymore. But still awesome. A beautiful place to get away to spend some time alone or with a special someone. wink

I just realised how much of a food bum I am!

I stayed here for over a year, the first time I moved to Malaysia. I love love love subang!
Everything is so convenient, we’ve got our own carrefour, shopping centers and huge loads of eateries. There is also starbucks and a drive thru Maccas!!

That to me is one of the most important fixtures in subang.

I’m a kid at heart. I love amusement parks, be they old, super, gorgeous, cool or whatever. I just love screaming my heart out.

Genting Highlands provide that fun element. Coupled together with the cooling weather.

Those who just want to relax, the awana country resort is a good place to stay in. There is a golf course for those who love put-ting, a jungle for those who love trekking. For me, I just like to sit out in the balcony of the hotel room and absorb the crispy cool air.

And I thought Kelantan gives a good array of food. Malacca gives the best food fare!

Kim, Jase, Eric and I just binged on food nearly 6 times a day! That was how good it was. We had ice kachang (shaved ice with really good malaccan sugar), chicken rice balls and all kinds of other local delicacies.

Shopping on Jonker street was also fantabulous!!

I was here for a short roadshow with my company.

The locals are so cool!! Friendly, smiley and very polite. I enjoyed myself immensely.

I loved the beaches!! Sun tanning and all that jazz. I love visiting the beach at night too and having night time piggy back ride!!

Maybe I am just homesick.. Maybe I really really miss Freo. Fremantle is where my heart is. My favourite place in the world. I remember it is where I had my first date with an awesome guy.. and consequently a very special place to us.

I bought books at a discount in the quaint little bookstore, browse through the clothes and other paraphernalia at a tiny Indian themed, but Aussie owned shop, attended concerts at the fremantle hall, sun tanned at the freo beach, enjoyed fish and chips whilst keeping a guarded eye on the sea gulls, being served super dee duper delicious gelato ice cream by my good friend. There are so much memories on those tiny streets, each one significant to me, and only me.

Others probably have their own stories to tell, some good, some bad. But to me, fremantle will always be my favourite place and my little spot of sunshine to escape to, when life seems frenzied and jumbled up. I long to go back to Perth, if not just to soak up the atmosphere of Freo. I will be back, soon.
