Make sure you also try the flour tortillas. They aren’t thin tortillas like you will find in parts of Mexico but more like a pancake, or johnny cake…..These are trypical for this part of Guatemala.

While you are in Rio Dulce take the rickety bus to Finca Paraiso. This is private farm land that has a hot water waterfall running into a cool river. It is one of the most amazing place you will ever see in your life. It is worth spending the day to get out there.
