breaktaking place to visit. The sheer image of this historic hotel when I rounded the corner was just stunning. I had time to walk around, go inside, and to get some shots…but I have GOT to stay here sometime. Does not matter if it is spring, summer, fall, or winter – it is a place I wish to stay in for a couple of days…and bask for a while. :D

I must see it!

Which side of the island has the red sand beaches? I’ve always wanted to see them. Hope I can in the next couple of weeks.

400 years ago this city was settled. Am trying to convince my daughter to go in the coming week. Don’t know if I’ll be successful, though.

Just a short bus ride out of Sheffield. Gorgeous views, but well worth the name… Dung is definitely the scent of the village.

Excellent, excellent beer. I thoroughly enjoyed that about the place. But the help…no so helpful and not at all friendly. One of the worst things done in running a business is hiring folks who are unable to treat patrons well. Thumbs down to VP & B!

looked a little rough around the edges, but the fish & chips – awesome (AND a massive amount). I ate at around 3 PM and didn’t need a dinner later on.

I was their UPS driver and I salivated every time I went into the building.

Looks like April 23rd is the day. I’ve chosen a bed & breakfast to stay in and have arranged for meetings with some faculty and advisors and now I just need to decide what the best way in to the city of Sheffield will be from Manchester airport. My daughter is excited to see the city she will live in for the next 4 years.

Would love to get up there this year. Maybe even a 43 Things meetup would be feasible. Great city with great people. Couldn’t get any better than that.

Does anyone know of any reasonable accommodations in the city where this could happen?
