Bocas del Toro (northeastern Panama)

What a lovely place. For those on a budget or with cash to burn. Water taxis to get to just about everywhere. Pristine beaches and simplistic pleasures. Snorkeling, diving, restauranting, dolphin watching, this group of 100 + islands are the experiences destroyed by the greedy in Costa Rica. After a few bad experiences in Costa Rica, I am entrigued by this area of Panama. I would definitely return in a heart beat.
