Honduras was great. A bit more working Spanish would have helped us out heaps, but we still had a great time. (with our phrase book in hand)

We did some amazing things: swam with a dolphin, shopped in awesome farmers markets, and saw amazing reefs/wildlife.

We’re def going to head back to Central America and probably swing by Utila again while down there. I’d love to say we’ll go back to Honduras again, but the world is so big and there are so many countries I want to see. It really made me realize how much of a disadvantage only knowing one language is. Next time we head south, we’re going to be able to speak Spanish!!!

We’ll see if we can visit both El Salvador and Honduras at the same time. I don’t want to rush either country. We’ll probably only have two weeks.

This is where we are going next!!! I can’t wait. I have my Central America Lonely Planet all marked up and ready. We just have to find the right time to book the trip. I haven’t been out of the country in over a year and I’ve got itchy feet!!!

I’d never go back if it weren’t for the fact that my grandparents live in Florida (naturally), when they aren’t living on Beaver Island. It’s just over developed to the max. The foliage/wildlife is so beautiful and it’s tragic what we’ve done to such a lovely ecosystem.

Manatees are amazing…I really enjoyed seeing them in the wild. Maybe the everglades are nicer?

I really like DC. I love the Native American Museum, but it’s pretty hard to get through without crying. I went when the cherry blossoms were…blossoming…and it was fantastic. (I didn’t even know it was a big deal until my mom told me) I’d like to go down to DC for a protest.

Normally I cringe at the thought of New Jersey. Strip malls, subdivisions, highways – although suburban Philly isn’t much better now. Any way…Cape May is a cute little tourist trap with yummy fudge and popcorn. Used to vacation there with my best friend from high school. Haven’t been there in YEARS, but when I was in high school it was heaven.

I love NYC. I’ve been up a few times on school trips and a few times with mates. I enjoy myself everytime. It’s great to sit in a cafe and realize that I would like to have a conversation with every other person drinking coffee. And the bagels kick ass too.

My step-grandma and grandpa used to have a cabin on a river in Ontario. It was beautiful. Used to fish on the river – never caught a thing from the banks, but it was fun. Lovely people too.

I went when I was a freshman in college for Mardi Gras. It was a great time…

I heart Philly. It’s a great town, full of great thinkers. We do have our problems in Philly, but we also live in a very rad city. It’s easy to forget that. Viva Bella Vista!
