My wife’s friend owns and B&B in Inman Park, about 5 blocks from L5P. Since Atlanta is my wife’s hometown and we only live 3 hours away we get there about every other month or so. I’ve been hanging around little 5 on every trip over for about 7 years now.
I’d have to say that L5P is probably the most interesting place in the southeast. There are every kind of people, from homeless, to hoity toity, to punk kid’s with blue hair and every piercing you can imagaine. There are bikers, rastafarians with dredlocks, very manly lesbians, neo hippies and ordinary folks.
The businesses are just as diverse as the people with many good restaurants, coffee shops and retail shops. Junkman’s daughter is like no other store I’ve ever been in anywhere. Euclid avenue yacht club is one of my favorite dive bars in the world.
So unless you’re afraid of diversity I’d say that L5P should be on anyone’s travel list.
