Like out of a dream

It is
like a dream.
Just go there.
Don’t go to work tomorrow.
Go to Amalfi.

Saratoga Springs

Worth visiting!

I went to Skidmore College and

now I live and work in NYC, but when the hustle-bustle is too much I find myself missing Saratoga. It’s an amazing town. It’s far from perfect, but after living, working, and going to school there for 4 years (and I really don’t actually like a lot of places, people or things) I can honestly say that the quality of life in Saratoga Springs is incredibly high.

Crested Butte

Worth visiting!

my brother lives here

As a totally neurotic New Yorker who can’t ski worth a damn, I still say you must go to Crested Butte. Not only is it beautiful, but it’s a lot of fun with great places to walk, shop, eat, drink and meet. And then you can go home and tell people that you communed with nature.

Venezia

(in Italy > Veneto)

Worth visiting!

Unique

I’ve been there twice.
Once for sevral gorgeous days in August of 2001 and then again for sevral days of rain and cold weather in October of 2003. And I still think it is one of the most wonderful, enchanting, unique cities in the world. Go there. Just go there.

And when you do, spend hours and hours in the Peggy Guggenheim museum.

Wyckoff

Worth visiting!

The suburb to beat all suburbs

Feeling nostalgic for the WASPy days of your youth?
Want to see the latest BMW driven by a 16 year old wearing jeans that cost more than your computer?
Have a hankering for good old fashioned Republican values, golf, and a bank and a church on every corner?
Well, Wyckoff is your place.
But…
if you like culture beyond watching TV,
consider the arts atleast somewhat important,
and have ever found yourself saying “Now wait a minute Leslie, I’m not so sure our president isn’t mentally challenged.”
THEN STAY AWAY FROM WYCKOFF!!
