Salar de Uyuni

(in Bolivia > Uyuni)
Why I want to go to this place
  1. Day 1 LA PAZ-ORURO-UYUNI
We start the day taking a regular bus from La Paz to Oruro (approx. 3 hours / 10.00–13.00 ). Once in Oruro we’ll be assisted to take the train to Uyuni (6 hours / 10.00–13.00 ). Enjoy the mountain vistas on the east side and unfolding views of salt playas and volcanic outcroppings. Around the shallow lakes you’ll spot huge flocks of flamingos. Upon arrival you’ll transferred to your hotel. (B) Train Oruro-Uyuni
  1. Day 2 UYUNI–INCAHUASI ISLAND-TAHUA
Drive to Colchani, a community of some 70 families on the shores of Uyuni’s Salt Flat. The entire village is dedicated to the cottage-industry production of salt for national consumption. This is the best place to observe the traditional method of salt extraction from the Salar. Fresh salt is first scraped off the salt flat’s surface and piled in conical heaps. Then it is transported to Colchani where ovens are used to dry the salt. Salt is next bagged and iodized by workers in small co-ops. We then enter Uyuni’s Salt Flat and head to the Coquesa village dominated by Tunupa Volcano to visit its impressive mummies. We continue to Incahuasi Island, lost in the middle of the salt flat, this island is home of cacti, a variety of birds, and a colony of vizcachas. We drive along the Western Andes Range south, to the village of Tahua. Overnight in a basic lodge. (B,L,D) Coquesa
  1. Day 3 TAHUA–ALOTA-VILLAMAR
Today, you’ll discover some of Bolivia’s most spectacular and most isolated marvels. We cross Chiguana Salt Flats (3,800 m/ 12,470 ft) visiting Cañapa and Hedionda Lagoons and observing bizarre rock formations eroded by the wind in the Valley of the Rocks. Finally we reach Villamar. Overnight in a basic lodge. (B,L,D) Hedionda Lagoon
  1. Day 4 VILLAMAR-SAN PEDRO
We enter the National Reserve of Avaroa, highlighting Red Lagoon at 4,300 m (14,100 ft), the “Morning Sun” Geysers, the Dali desert where huge rocks are scattered, and are so-called due to their similarity to works by Salvador Dali , White Lagoon and finally Green Lagoon. This bright turquoise lagoon is on the foothills of Licancabur Volcano (6,000 m/19,680 ft). We say goodbye to Bolivia and cross the Chilean border. A smooth descent from there will take you 2,000 m (6,560 ft) down to the Atacama Desert, and its oasis town San Pedro. (B)

photos

The second one is cartoon illustration tours which is around 5 miles but took me nine hours to find all cartoon illustrations painted on the wall of building. The total amount of illustration is 30 include 2 recent frnishde one. You can get this walking tour map at visitor center which located at Grand Place. Not only it is exciting when you find the illustration, but also you will see Brussels from different angles and talk with different local peoples to find out the location.

New Bedford

Worth visiting!

New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park

Take a day off from my study and hit south to this historical place, which is one hour driving from Boston.

Parked my car after I saw the building, which I thought should be visitor center. Actually it is city hall and a man asked me if I need help when I was walking away. After heard I was looking for victor center, he directed me the building and invited me to go inside the city hall, and told me that he is the mayor, Scott W. Lang, a lawyer as well.

It is such a pleasure to talk with him while he introduced me the city hall, including his office and the oldest elevator in the United States. And I was pretty shy when his fellows gave me an interview about my travelling experience in the US, I am not good to dealing this kind of stuff and I had the same experience when I was in Koeln, a reporter interviewed me about how did I think about their Prime Minister Schoder.

I was totally released after I left the city hall. The visitor center is quite small and of course I stamp on my national park passport. The grandma lady is very nice and told me all the detail about the places I should go.

Anyway, it’s such a nice trip. unfortunately it is cloudy which is not the best time for shooting landscape, but I had a very good time.

Mazatlán

(in Mexico > Sinaloa)
Playa Norte, Playa Camaron - Playa Gaviotas, Playa Olas Atlas

Extending from where Paseo Clausen becomes Av. del Mar, a relitvely wide, clean white strip of beach, streaching for about 3 miles. This beach is popular with the locals, and is usally uncrowded except for holidays. On calm days the waves break gentily and gradualy; other times, they can be rough, so if you see a life guard, it might be a good idea to stay near. Up at the far north end, nearing Playa Camaron, begining at Valintono’s Disco is where begining and intermediate surfers hang-out, the swells break gradually left, and those that like fishing will find that the rocks on the point provide good spots for casting.

Iglesia De San Francisco Javier

Worth visiting!

Iglesia De San Francisco Javier
