I would recommend skipping this city altogether when visiting Guatemala. Shuttles to Antigua run from the airport until late, and they´re cheap!
It´s dirty, ugly, crowdy, and theres hardly anything to see. Going to zona 10 might improve things, yet it´s mostly an expensive business area, nothing special.

Absolutely lovely place, the charming cobblestone streets, the colonial houses, the relaxing parques and the great international buzz!
Yet still it keeps its authentic Guatemalan character.

If you´re thinking about learning Spanish, go there! And it´s excellent value for money as well!!

Beautiful picturesque little city. Main square with the palace is really stunning.
In some parts of the city, you seem to be traveling back in time some 500 years, back to the Middle-Ages.

Lovelier than I would have thought possible!
The atmosphere was quite authentic, the old city parts were really charming as well.

Huge piece of advice when traveling there: book your hotel yourself, don’t go on an ‘organised trip’!

I wasn’t really impressed I have to say.
The little streets are picturesque and all. But it’s extremely busy, and the smell isn’t that charming at some places.
