Wembley Stadium, Wembley

Rugby League Challenge Cup Final

Ive just been to the Rugby League Challenge Cup final and what at day.

I wasn’t that impressed with the stadium on the out side its all steel and glass and i think they should have kept the two white towers but none the less .

On going inside i went up some escalators to our destination which entered to a very wide corridor filled with fast food and beer counters and a souvenir shop that sells programmes amongst other stuff. I never got any food here as its cheaper buying it from the food wagons on Wembley way but i did buy a larger for £3.50 which was flat and they had real problems with the beer pumps not working right also it took a long time to get served.

Inside though its another matter , the stadium is amazing , the seats comfortable the views brilliant and the acoustics deafening coming from the 85.000 supporters . Its a sensory overload and you can quite take it all in like it doesn’t seem real. But what a great day .

Overall if you can i would suggest going because once your inside its a sight you’ll never forget.

Its hard to a get a Mexican wave going though but when you do like we did , it just keeps going round and round and it’s a remarkable sight to see.

Kusadasi, Turkey

Kuasadasi for a week.

This resort in Turkey is a busy place to stay , it is littered with multiple shops , restaurants and bars , there are two beaches called Ladies beach and town beach in the resort itself and a few more just a short bus ride away , i would suggest going to Pygale beach as it is not very busy and has great amenities such as beach cafes etc.

The main area of night life is Bar street which consists of mainly Irish and English themed bars as expect English prices . For me though i preferred to stay away from the center and went to the many bars and restaurants typically Turkish where the food is better and plentiful and the drink cheap. The main road is very busy and leads down to the center of town where all the main amenities are but along this road are located many bars and restaurants with great atmospheres although the music can be a little load , also there are many kebab shops which are very cheap and i would buy one on my way back to the hotel to give to the two local stray dogs which soon became best friends.

The town itself has many Turkish holiday makers and Europeans and little English there. The locals are very friendly and willing to help in anyway possible and of course all speak English.

Kusadasi is in a great location for visiting the many ancient sites which many are only a short bus journey away such as Ephesus , Selcuk , Didyma , Preine , Militos and Scringe .

The bus to Ephesus cost about £2 and is worth seeing . We got an excursion to Didyma , Milietos and Priene at a local company for £17 with a guide , dinner and air-con bus which also stopped at Altinkum on the way back , great price and a must do activity.

Kusadsi has little or no crime and was very safe to venture alone ,our hotel the Fortin was in a residential area in a darkly lit area but yet i felt very safe in fact i never even thought about it. We got no hassle from the shops and restaurants either as the police had made a crack down on this policy.

Overall a great location for those willing to see the ancient surrounding sites but a little busy and crowded through the day.

Druids Temple, North Yorkshire

Druids Temple

Directions – Pass through Ilton and follow the road until you see a sign for Swinton Park Estate , turn left at this and it will lead you to a carpark . When you get out of your car you will see two paths but it doesn’t matter which you take as they both lead to the same place .

The walk to the Temple its-self last 10 mins but you can continue round and this will take about 30 mins .

Its not that big but it is still impressive and very quiet , when i was there their were no-body about so it was silently erie and slightly spooky . After passing this the walk takes you through a wooded area and back to the car park .

Its worth having a look at and also my dog loved it
