We have a holiday booked here in May. Really looking forward to it!

We went here for our honeymoon and were unsure of what to expect. The island still has a lot of original culture left, despite being packed with tourists. Unlike some countries we got the feeling that the tourists are really valued here.

If you’re going, make sure you spend time snorkelling or diving – the water is fantastic, but the lack of sandy beaches makes it slightly less family friendly.

If we went back, we would stay on Gozo.

Just over the border from Haparanda in Sweden Tornio feels like a frontier town. Because the town lies in a time zone one hour later than Sweden and has lower alcohol taxes the place is full of bars! When we went we ended up in a Finnish karaoke bar – a pretty surreal experience.

Yup – I’ve been living here for 7 years and I still love it!
