Fresno Vineyard Farmers Market, Fresno

Vineyard Farmers Market

Started over 25 years ago, the Vineyard Farmer’s Market continues (year round) to offer customers an old fashioned outdoor arbor-covered farmers’ market in the heart of Fresno. What makes the fruits and vegetables so special is the loving care with which they are grown, harvested and sold. Here shoppers can find the freshest of fruits, vegetables, plants and flowers, as well as a variety of locally produced items including jams, dried fruit, cheese, olive oil, honey and soap. Wednesdays 3pm-6pm & Saturdays 7am-Noon, Blackstone & Shaw, Fresno.

Fresno, Fresno County

A bad rap

Especially from people that live, or have lived here. This town is far from boring. I suspect that people who say fresno is boring are people who lack any imagination and are easilly bored…thus boring people. I added a bunch of places within fresno for locals and visitors to check out. I challenge anyone to check out this list of places to go and things to do and still say Fresno is a boring hick town. It’s a town with history, and character with great locally owned shops and clubs to give you a much more personal experience than the hustle and bustle of big city corporate businesses can offer. If you live here and haven’t been to at least half these places, then shame on you for not knowing your own home.

Sequoia Brewing Company, Fresno

Great food, great beer and live music

Formerly the Butterfields Brewing Company, Sequoia Brewing has brick oven baked pizza, steaks, burgers and pasta and of course a variety of true craft brewed beers with more character and flavor than you can get from a six pack of bud.

They also feature live music from local bands on fridays and saturdays and live Jazz on wednesday nights.
