Cornwall Record Office, Truro

About the CRO

Cornwall Record Office (CRO) was established by Cornwall County Council in 1951 and cares for the largest archive collection in the county, with environmentally-controlled strongrooms holding over four miles of records, dating from the 12th century to the present day. We have approximately 5000 research visits and 12,000 enquiries a year. Although the majority of our enquiries relate to family and property history anyone is welcome to visit the Record Office and use our services.

Ronda, Andalucia

Restaurant tip

Restaurant Grenada (up the side street opposite McDonalds (!) and the square just by the bridge served lovely food.

We were the only non-Spaniards in there and the place was totally full.

There were loads of tourist food places in the town where the food didn’t look especially good. We went in on a hunch and it paid off handsomely.

They specialise in Paella and other Spanish dishes – Mushroom Paella was great (and vegetarian).

Day trip from Spain

Hoping to go in a few weeks time when on holiday is southern Spain. Booking a tour guide will give us the most of a short time there.

A guy has been recommended to us – will post again afterwards to see if he meets our expectations and the day is all we hope for.
