Washington State, United States

Untitled

I was about 8 years old when I first visited, and unfortunately the last time. I remember a few things about the trip with my family and I think all the things that stand out are the places I visited. The Redwood forest was amazing, I have never seen such a lush forest in my life until then. Mt. St. Helens was great too, I remember playing in the snow while my parents tried to explore a lava tube with nothing but a flashlight (needless to say they did not get far). But I think the best thing (from my perspective) of Washington is that it rained almost all the time, I am a rain lover if you could tell. It really was the exact opposite of where I live.

Utah, United States

Untitled

I did not get a great impression of this place the one time I was there. Salt Lake City, I am not sure if it is cut in half and the better part was somewhere else, but I could not even find a restaurant to eat at besides Denny’s and the lake made it smell like old fish. I drove through the Salt Flats. That was interesting, looked like snow for miles in every direction. I would not say this state is a lost cause. I was only there once and did not see everything, given the chance I may go back and look for some of Utah’s defining characteristics.

Arizona, United States

The whole state...

I have travelled all over this state (seeing as how I live here) and have seen many natural wonders. I find nature is the best thing about arizona, but I am not opposed to man-made structures also. It is wonderful living in a state that seems to have all types of climate except for tropical and arctic. I think the most fantastic places I have been are the Grand Canyon (that is a given), Monument Valley (and all of the four corners region for that matter), the San Xavier Mission, and the Saguaro National Parks. I also think this state has some of the best Sunsets and Sunrises on Earth (which is why I want to travel to see if I am right).
