I grew up not far from Monterey. Its parks, playgrounds, movie theaters and beaches are all a rich part of my childhood. I high recommend it as a weekend getaway for Californians with kids!

I have great memories of Lisboa. Remember to go Port tasting, wander around the Alfama at dusk, and hike up to the fortress for a great view of the city!
