Nice place. A brewery inside an old post office.

This place shut down, remodeled and then reopened with a new name, atmosphere, and food. I think it is call Asian Bistro now. It used to be one of my favorites. Apparently it didn’t even change hands. It’s still the same owners.

There might be some scenery, but the restaurants in East Hampton are so, so awful! It’s the first place I’ve ever lived where I can’t find a single place to eat in town.
It’s a town of about 15,000 but it has a feeling of being like a town of 1500. It’s a “tourist town” without anything to draw in tourists (outside of the people who have homes around the lake). It’s in the middle of no where and it’s a drive to get everywhere.
Most of the people are very unpleasant, as well, and have no idea how to park in parking lots, or use the town’s four-way stop. All the teenagers also seem to have a HUGE chip on their shoulders.
But that aside, I do enjoy driving by the lake and I like having a covered bridge in town. I also like jogging on the Airline Trail which is near my house.

Yeah, there are some interesting places in Hartford to visit, but the people are not friendly, the place is dirty, the streets confusing, and some areas are dangerous to go through. The state likes to point out the sports venues without realizing that only people in CT would ever be interested in those. I have been to Hartford several times while living here and I plan to visit more museums and restaurants. However, if you want to see all the problems the state has encapsulated and amplified in one place, then Hartford is a good place for that.

If you are in the area you should definitely go!

Not sure if this is still being used as a drive-in. When I was there it was just a typical dinner with everyone eating inside. The homemade root beer was very good though.

We went in December of use the Christmas stamps at the post office. We didn’t see anything else, but maybe we’ll go back sometime.

We had intended on going to the coal mine you can ride through in Beckley, but it is closed until April 2008. We’ll go back next year maybe and check it out. We had fun anyway driving the twisty roads and stopping a couple of towns.
