I want to see Aurora Borealis. But since that’s not exactly a place, I want to go to Alaska to see it.

I go every week

I’ve been going pretty much every week that I’m in town and not busy, which is most weeks, luckily for me. Thursday nights are a great time because of Farmer’s Market. If you like good food, friends, and a huge amount of amazing people watching, Farmer’s Market is for you.

Of course, it may be better for me considering I’ve lived here for so long and I know a lot of people, but it’s still worth trying out.

Good for an adventure, bad for a vacation

I’ve been to TJ mostly to work in the slums helping build houses for the poor families there. While those areas of town are difficult to enjoy from a vacationer’s perspective, the downtown area is huge and constantly moving, with plenty of opportunities to eat amazing food, buy worthless crap for really cheap, or get into trouble.

Not REALLY worth visiting...

...unless you’re going to the Grand Canyon.

My Second Home

My parents moved here a few years ago and I’ve had the privilege to visit on numerous occasions. Admittedly, the city takes a bit of getting used to (especially for a Californian visiting in the dead of winter). But there is so much to see here. A perfect place for photographers, as it contains both new and old architecture, high class and run down areas, lots of nature and an almost-unpredictable weather pattern that could bring lightning to you as quickly as it could snow or sunshine.

I don't know if I'll ever leave...

I was sad when we moved here when I was 9. Now I’m 21, my family has moved away (except for a sister who ended up moving back) and I don’t know if I could ever convince myself to leave.
