Erlangen ist toll! If you are ever so blessed as to visit Erlangen, stop in at the bar “Smile!” as it is the best little spot. It is right near E-Werk, which is also a great place especially if Germany has a füssball game that night.

I am newish to Cincinnati after growing up in the burbs around chicago my whole life. I moved down here with my older sister who promptly got me a job, which i later quit. I now work for Apple and my fiancé has joined me in Cincinnati as a student at UC. We both love it here, as it is a change of pace from what we are used to. I will say that it is hard to make friends here. It’s like everyone already has their group that they have always known. Some favorite spots of ours so far are Arthur’s Cafe in Hyde Park, Jungle Jim’s in Fairfield, the view of Lunken Airport from Alms Park, and pretty much every other park in Cincinnati. (there are a ton). There is also a pretty neat abandoned subway tunnel that runs all under the city, that most cincinnatians don’t even know about. I have seen it first hand, and it’s definitely very cool. Visit Cincinnati if you are a self-motivated explorer, but not if you are looking for a town that will guide you around on its own.
