Beautiful and pinki and heritage city with lots to discover and lots to do … and lots to eat and lots to buy

for me the only attraction was the holy ‘dargah shariff’
a holy place to visit … and too much of religion in the air ..

was lucky enough to witness live qawalli there at the dargaah … what else would a person want …

eternally lovable

do go there to turn and look back at the taj .. it is said that all those who do that get a chance to visit the taj again

also visit nearby fatehpur sikri and the red-fort

was at bangalore around 1998-99 time .. so it has been time ..

was young so loved every bit of it ..
the fun and frolicking at MG road, Brigade road .. net cafes were there at that time .. the place has big and great and clean malls .. with escalators .. going to the malls was a 1st time experience for me there ..

have heard that the city has definitely expanded .. and not that good in shape ..

also remember going to Ulsoor lake .. that was the 1st time saw love brids so comfortable in arms with each other .. not a care for the world .. though the lake was bad .. the place was a definite hangout place then

also remember going to Cubbon park near Chinnaswamy stadium .. and having fried fish there .. heavenly .. never have I eaten such a preparation anywhere i have been ..

the most noticable thing about the city was that … you could not get water anywhere but pubs and bars were everywhere and so were the no. of cinema halls .. in every nook and corner of the city …

definitely worth visiting and making an opinion

was there last year (2004) .. for some interviews stuff .. and found the city great -> casual, clean and some very nice people.

made some great friends from across the country at that place and the best part about the city is that the people can speak and understand hindi …

go there for ….......

go there for banjara hills .. hussain sagar, film city

go there for the pearls ..

go there for the namkeens and sweets of Pulla Reddy

go there for the raw flavour of “Hyderabad Blues”

go there, for it is nagesh kuknoor’s city

go there for Hyderabadi biryani, the nahari & paya

go there for the language and customs and etiquettes

...
just go there at least once ..

delhi will remain a phenomenal place for me ..

there are lots of famous places in delhi to go to ..
let me tell you 2 places not that famous .. but …

1. War Cemetery : is the resting place of the soldiers who fought during the World War
2. Nizamuddin’s dargaah (esp on thursdays)

now lets chuck the culture

nothing beats the food that lucknow serves .. be it the roadside golgappa walas to the chat-kachori, matar-chaat walas ..
to the avadhi cuisine ..
and of course do savor the malai pan of ‘raamasre’ in hazratgunj
to of course the grand “TUNDE” ke kabab
worth every day of its stay in lucknow ..

of the places to go is Hazratgunj for ‘gunjing’
and mahanagar
universal bookstores in both the places have such a huge and great collection of books ..

and yes culture is there ..
people are soooo nice
but everyone eats the paan and the roads are all soooo red

been to dharamshala, palampur & mcleodgunj
some cool place and the dhauladhar mountain covers the state in a cool white blanket ..
mcleodgunj is made famous by the tibetians and the Dalai Lama .. it is one peaceful place to be to ..
the places are totally different from (esp mcleodgunj) the rest of the state …
the road transport is good but the roads are at places broken .. be there in the cold weather and it is surreal ..

USP

go there and get invited to a marriage .. it is called DHAM there .. and is a sitdown lunch which is offered .. which is one of the best meals that you can have in Himanchal ..
