I lived here as a kid
Remember going to the river a lot, riding in canoes, riverside parties late at night fishing with my parent’s hillbilly friends, lots of my own hillbilly friends, being chased by black snakes, getting de-ticked at the barber shop, my teacher Ms. Smallwood, getting teased as all I owned were cowboy boots (no P.E. shoes), the mean P.E. coach, the big First Baptist Church where I was baptized, the library where I would get my Bill Cosby picture pages every week, running through the woods with my BB gun all day, the Sanders family and their big ol house, and my first crush Vicki.
